常識科的教學策略

Teaching Strategies for General Studies

摘要

在中小學的課室內,大部分的教學仍然是側重於單向的和被動的學習。為了改善這種情況,小學常識科鼓勵教師採用以學生為中心的啟發式教學,發展學生的理解和思維能力。本文嘗試從建構論的角度,解釋如何透過有意義的學習活動,促進學生積極的參與,從而提高學習的效果和興趣。並以常識科中的一個單元為例,示範如何運用此教學法,幫助他們主動地建立知識和掌握新概念。

Abstract

Inside the primary and secondary classrooms, most teaching still emphasizes direct instruction and passive learning. For the implementation of General Studies of the primary curriculum, teachers are strongly advised to use student-centred teaching strategies that encourage students to learn by thinking and with understanding. By referring to a teaching unit in the General Studies syllabus, this article exemplifies how a constructivist approach can help teachers to design meaningful learning activities that motivate students to construct knowledge and develop conceptual understanding, thus leading to effective and pleasurable learning.
